I have multiple times written about this in my .

Look at what Valve did with Zero-Day releases and their statistics on how pirating didn’t become a problem when they released their new games in all countries at once.

If the movie and music business do this as well I strongly believe the problem can be solved. The solution is not to fight pirates, it’s to defeat it by making a better service!

The carton is 4years (really old in the computer world) old and still it puts the finger to the problem at hand.
Hoping to see the business reading this and actually seeing what they are missing out on.
