Haven't tried that, so I don't know. Don't think it would be dangerous to try...?

Stopped by at Elkjøp (norwegian computer etc store) and they sold a thin plastic tape/cover to support the iPod from getting scratches. Did not see the price though!

They also sold smal bags, similar to those for mobil phones, as well!

I have never bothered to protect my iPod with loads of covers and stuff. I have the device because I want to use it

Okay. There is a bit of a contradiction in this quote and the whole article itself. But hey, a bit of maintenance is always good?

Heh? I remember back in 2001. Or 2002? I actually WON an iPod - the original 5 GB iPod (which btw still works, with the original battery). I had seen in on Apple.com and just about every gadget site there is a few weeks before.

Then I went to a conference in Oslo, where all attendees were told to rate the exhibition and the speakers on a sheet of paper. Must have been 300-400 people doing that. And I won. Wow.

So I bring this shiny new object home, fill it up with my faves, and start using it.

Some days later: A scratch on the display! Crisis!!!

I show it to Mr. Solheim, who replies something like this:

"What? A single scratch? No worries. Grab something sharp and add 40 more. Your gadgets should look like someone has used them."

Out of sharp objects, Eirik? ;-)
