Long time readers of my blog will know that I created a web site called Trendmapper a couple of years ago. A site that is used to track the popularity of words and phrases along different search engines. Not how many people that are doing a search for a phrase, but how many times the phrase is mentioned around the internet.

When I launched it was noted on the blogs of prominent internet heroes like John Battelle, Seth Godin and Ewan Williams. People like it! Since then I’ve had a steady flow of traffic on it. I had fantastic help of Mr. Harald Staff with the coding and the system ticked away pretty nice for years. However, at some point a major update was needed. The problem is that I don’t have the time to maintain it and develop it further. In fact, I don’t have time for huge amounts of my ideas…

So, when sitting there thinking about what to do with it an email pops up from Mr. Dudu Mimran. He offers to buy trendmapper and develop it further. After a short negotiation the deal was closed. He is now rewriting the whole functionallity and updating the site. It will be interesting to see what he makes. I was offered a position on the advisory board for Trendmapper so I will still be able to contribute with ideas.

What did you say? How much? I won’t tell, but we’re not talking huge amounts of money. Mr. Mimran is not Google. He is a hard working person buidling a portfolio of web sites that he intend to develop and run.

Over on his blog Mr. Mimran announce the aquisition. He is satisfied with the transaction and I can say the exact same thing. Mr. Dudu Mimran is a person that you can trust. Cooperative and accurate. It has been a pleasure doing business with him.

Now, both the trendmapper users and myself are looking forward to the update of the site!
