From the programme:
How will portable media players, mobile phones, broadband and media centers change the way we use media? Some devices are alreday way beyond the phase of being “technical gadgets for the geeks”. New markets have developed. Still, it’s interesting to have a look at what the advanced users are doing and outline some of the biggest challenges for the broadcasters. Mr. Solheim will present his thoughts without boring bullet points, advanced tables and difficult charts. Welcome to a peek into the future that is right here now.
What a funny coincidence, I am leaving for Cavtat/Dubrovnik tonight for my second trip in 2 years. Check out this gallery if you want a preview:

Hope you like seafood, the squid is especially good.
Actually, from the picture I am guessing that you’ll be at the Hotel Croatia (same as my own conference) in Cavtat which is a 45 min boat ride from Dubrovnik.
Gorgeous sunsets.
Yes, I am staying at the Hotel Croatia. And yes, I love seafood.
And – what a bunch of extremely nice pictures from an extremely nice looking place!
Now I am really looking forward to this trip.
Do you have any resturants or special sights to recommend?
Just keep an eye on my photoblog and I will be posting updated info. There was that one restaurant in Cavtat that I kept returning to every two days, at the end of the bay, the one with the very small terrace, can’t remember the name. I’ll make sure to post it when I’m there.
As for special sights, you have to take a boat to Dubrovnik and go around the city walls. In Cavtat, climb to the top of the peninsula across the bay from the hotel. There is a gorgeous mausoleum and cemetary with an amazing view.
Hello andre!
Ever heared about http://www.panoramio.com?
You should put out some pictures there!!
You have some very nice pictures on your site!
The name of the place is Dalmatia. Unfortunately (for me) they are closed for renovation but they should be done by next week.
Thank you! I’ll definitely check it out.
…and another thing:
According to your blog there’s WLAN available at your hotel. Is that the Hotel Croatia?
[…] At the EBU Connect conference earlier this month I experienced an excellent presentation by Patrick Damsted. It was a very good example of utilizing one of the most important advantages of doing a presentation. The fact that the presenter is there in person. […]
