I am currently working on an article about peer to peer streaming. During my research I found this: Your Free Satellite. Seems like this stuff is related as well. Looks extremely dodgy. Anyone out there that have tried it? Or know anything about it?

They had Canal + (Norwegian satelite/cabel/pay channel) until someone wrote on it in http://www.dinseide or http://www.digi.no.
“Free satellite”, “Only $67” and “Please note: We reserve the right to raise the price after Midnight”. Reassuring…
Well, if you haven’t tried the TVUPlayer it’s a free version of what those programs are trying to accomplish.
They ride on the thin line for legality, as they mostly are rebroadcasting broadcast TV, complete with commercials. I find it very nice to pick up sports games that my local stations aren’t showing (American Football), and the quality isn’t that much worse than normal TV.
I have finished my article on peer-to-peer streaming and TVUPlayer is indeed one of the most user friendly solutions out there. You can have a look at my experience here, and also see a video showing how it works on my 37″ LCD: All the TV you would ever want – on the internet
Well, they’ve at least been inspired by the GUI of Songbird and Democracy.. But since those are Open Source projects, it’s not good to know if they’ve actually taken their GUI and made a program, or if that’s just a photoshop job..
Yes, no doubt about that. And I still haven’t found one single place on the web where someone gives this service a proper review.
