Standing outside of a fence shooting images of a boat my focus more or less accidentally changed to the fence. And if you ask me, the image of the fence is way better than the one of the boat. Same place. Same time. Different focus.

And two stories to tell or one story with two pictures. I think both are good with the second the more striking. But it depends on what you are going emphasize.
